LinkedIn Comment AI ("we," "our," or "the extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains our data practices for the LinkedIn Comment AI Chrome extension.

We collect minimal data, stored locally on your device:
- Usage Count: Number of comments generated each day (for free tier limit enforcement)
- License Key: Your Pro license key if you purchase a subscription (stored locally and validated with our server)
- Preferences: Your selected tone, comment length, and other settings
- Comment History: Your last 50 generated comments (stored locally for your reference)
- Voice Profile: If you're a Pro user and opt-in to voice training, we store writing samples you provide
3. DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT
- Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information
- LinkedIn Credentials: We never access, store, or transmit your LinkedIn password or login information
- Browsing History: We do not track which LinkedIn posts you view, read, or comment on
- Location Data: We do not collect any geographic or location information
- Financial Information: All payment processing is handled by Gumroad. We never see or store credit card information
4. HOW WE USE DATA
- Post Content: When you click "Generate Comments," post text is sent to our API temporarily to create comment suggestions, then immediately deleted
- License Keys: Validated with our server to verify your Pro subscription status
- Local Data: All preferences and history stay on your device and are never transmitted to our servers
5. DATA STORAGE
All user data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. The only data stored on our servers:
- License keys in our secure database (for validation purposes only)
- Temporary post content during comment generation (deleted immediately after processing)
6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Payment Processing

AI Generation
We use Anthropic's Claude API for comment generation. Post content is sent temporarily to generate comments. Please review Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
7. DATA SECURITY
- All API communications use HTTPS encryption
- License keys are validated server-side using secure protocols
- No sensitive data is stored on our servers
- Post content is processed in real-time and not retained
8. YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to:
- Delete Your Data: Uninstall the extension to remove all locally stored data
- Deactivate License: Contact support to deactivate your Pro license
- Access Your Data: View all stored data using Chrome's extension storage inspector
- Opt-Out: Choose not to use voice training or other optional features
9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
LinkedIn Comment AI is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. DATA RETENTION
- Local Data: Retained until you uninstall the extension or clear browser data
- License Keys: Retained in our database while your subscription is active
- Post Content: Never retained - processed and immediately deleted
11. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Our servers are located in the United States. By using LinkedIn Comment AI, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
